Artist's Comments

I thought I might as well finish it and I'm a lot happier with it now. I'm very pleased with the likeness even though there are a bunch of mistakes. Also I limited myself to BOOORING tones when I could have had more fun with the overly dramatic lighting :C. I was gonna say something else but I forgot what it was.

I gave up on reffing the hair and just made it all ugly but lets just call it STYLISED yes?

Done from a photo reference that I won't post because it looks nothing like the drawing :iconretardedplz:

It is highly impressive and I'm no painter, but perhaps it's the lack of said fancy lightings that give it a strange glossy look which makes it look a little unreal.

But I always questioned your affiliation with this realm anyway.

Snake: Otacon, there's a kid with wings out here. Is he a mutant?
Or just really into costumes?

Otacon: That's Pit, Snake.

I am unbearably envious of your brushwork. It's so smooth and creamy in some areas like your cheeks, but then the hair and eyes are handled so sharply.

And I agree, it's really freaking frustrating that most of what's popular on this site is cartoon art, and this is even coming from a primarily cartoon artist. And what is popular amongst the cartoon art tends to stay within a pretty strict style parameter.
